A Letter to our Fans
This is a bittersweet moment for Karate Coyote. We are excited to let our fans know that we will be reuniting with our original and founding member Sam Corlett for a final performance on September 21st, 2013 at 9pm at Independent’s Day in downtown Columbus Ohio at the Columbus Local Music Stage (Gay & High St).
The festival marks an exciting moment in Karate Coyote’s history as we announce this to be our last performance as a collective before a hiatus after the Independent’s Day show. We want to thank all of our fans for their loyal support these past 6 years as a band in Columbus Ohio. As a last gift to all our fans we will be performing as the original Karate Coyote lineup playing songs that stretch our time together and feature pieces from Move, Inner Animals and our latest self-titled record. We will also be donating 100% of the proceeds from this concert including record and t-shirt sales to The Children’s Miracle Network Buckeyethon Charities for Children’s Cancer research.
As time moves on we found scheduling shows and practices more and more difficult as each of us has crossed the winters of adolescence and entered the spring of adulthood. Each member of Karate Coyote knows that doing this takes dedication and in order to give you all the music you deserve we simply could no longer give the time and effort needed to sustain further musical life.
The future is still uncertain for Karate Coyote. During the hiatus each of us will work on other projects and who knows, we could come back for the right cause in the future.
We feel that Columbus has been exceptional to us and we cherish all of our fans for being a part of it. From national contests, opening for national acts, CD102.5 Day & Summerfest, to each small club show you were there and we have nothing but love for each of you.
From the heart, Karate Coyote
